Secret Benefits of the Stairmaster Stepmill

!±8± Secret Benefits of the Stairmaster Stepmill

My review of the Stairmaster Stepmill 7000 PT is a breakdown of the pros and cons of this misunderstood stair stepper.

Have you ever wanted a quality low impact lower body and cardio workout ?

Then the Stairmaster Stepmill 7000 PT is just what the doctor ordered because the stepmill blew away my expectations.

When you first see the stepmill you are surprised at how big the stair stepper really is because the fitness machine will probably be the biggest machine in the gym.

I was so used to either using a treadmill or an elliptical for my workouts that I was pleased to find an alternative to those fitness machines.

The Stairmaster Stepmill 7000 PT gave me a quality workout in half the time and was able to maintain my targeted heart rate throughout the trial.

When you first get on there is an easy to read LCD display that provides information such as the amount of floors you've climbed, the equivalent in miles, the calories burned, the speed and more.

You also get to choose from six different workout programs, everything from quick start to fat burner.

Starting your workout the revolving staircase, which measured 8inches to closely mimic real stairs, I felt as if I was climbing the stairs of an auditorium or stadium.

My knees didn't hurt and I was able to choose my speed which varied from 24 to 162 steps a minute, more than enough to challenge me and would anyone from a beginner to an advanced athlete.

The only downside I had seen to the Stairmaster Stepmill 7000 PT besides the price tag which, brand new, runs over ,000 was the size of the machine. I could see that as a deterrent for folks to not use this machine.

Plus at ,000+ there won't be to many of these at the gym so once word gets out about how great these stair steppers are you may find yourself waiting to use them.

3 Easy Aerobic Exercises to Help You Lose Weight, Stay Healthy and Feel Energized Everyday

!±8± 3 Easy Aerobic Exercises to Help You Lose Weight, Stay Healthy and Feel Energized Everyday

As the number of people being over-weight has risen due to many reasons such as bad eating habits or lack of exercise, more and more companies are seeking to offer quick fix solutions to the marketplace. We see a lot of attractive advertisements for weight loss pills, surgeries and fad diets every day.

However, many people fail to realize that although these methods help, such methods should only be part of their weight loss efforts. Losing weight successfully and maintaining a healthy body definitely requires exercises. And among the many types of exercises, aerobic exercises are among the most recommended by fitness instructors. Not only will these exercises help you lose weight, they will allow you to stay healthy and feel energized as well.

Aerobic exercises will help you lose unwanted fats and keep your body healthy and energized through increasing your intake of oxygen. Aerobic exercises have three basic parts - the warm up, intense exercise and cooling down. The warm-up part involves stretching to prepare the muscles for the strenuous activity that will follow. The last part of the routine is the cooling down to relax your muscles.

Among the many activities that promote physical fitness, aerobic exercises are the most appreciated and recommended by fitness instructors. Aerobic exercises offer many benefits. They help increase the circulation of the blood and oxygen in our body. They tone those muscles and help you get rid of unwanted fats. And the best thing about aerobic exercises is that you can do such exercises in the comfort of your home. Just wear light clothes and a good pair of comfortable shoes and play up-beat music and you can start doing the drills.

Fitness experts recommend that aerobic exercises be done at a moderate rate. They also recommend the following aerobics exercises:

o Dance Aerobics- It is a combination of graceful dance routines and rhythmic aerobic steps. It strengthens and tightens your muscles and at the same time helps you lose excess body fat. It is considered as one of the easiest aerobic exercises that can be enjoyed by people from all ages. Since dance aerobics can include intense jumping, you may want to do warm up exercises for 15 minutes or so before dance aerobics. Variations in your dance steps as well as your routines make this exercise more fun.

o Running- It is one of the best forms of exercise because it helps burn fat fast. It helps in increasing oxygen intake and thus, increases blood circulation. If you haven't done running exercises before, begin with jogging a few rounds in the first few days. And once your body has adjusted, start running a few lapses. Make sure that you are wearing running shoes that fit perfectly to avoid any leg injuries.

o Stair climbing- It allows you to develop the muscles in the lower part of your body, including the hamstrings, calf and hip flexors. For this exercise, you can make use of machines, such as the Stairmaster 4000 PT, the ClimbMax or the Versa Climber, if you do not have the regular stairs. Try to keep your balance with the right posture and as much as possible, avoid using the handrails.

All these aerobic exercises will help keep your body healthy and in good shape. Such exercises also keep your weight in check and make you feel energized every day.

Fitness Stepper Benefits Include a Low Impact Cardiovascular Workout

!±8± Fitness Stepper Benefits Include a Low Impact Cardiovascular Workout

There is no shortage of fitness stepper benefits that absolutely will come to every person who consistently uses one. It has been proven that the mere act of owning a stepper, or having a membership to a gym that has steppers, will not guarantee results. You do have to actually use them, on a consistent basis. It helps to adhere to a certain schedule.

A fitness stepper is often called a stair stepper. It is a machine that is made for exercising. It mimics, to some degree, the effects of climbing stairs. Have you ever climbed a lot of flights of stairs, without stopping between the floors? If so, you have a basic idea of the many potential benefits of a fitness stair stepper.

Running up, even a single flight of stairs, will usually increase your heat rate and your breathing rate, which is the very beginning of a cardiovascular workout (for your lungs and heart.) Exercising your heart and lungs is good for you, obviously. But, it also burns off excess fat that is stored on your body. However, a few flights of stairs will not do the job. You need at least thirty minutes at a time.

One of the problems with most cardiovascular workouts is they involve high impact upon your muscles, bones, joints and ligaments. You can workout your lungs & heart tremendously by running, but runners suffer from an equally tremendous amount (& variety) of injuries. Running up actual stairs would only add to the risk. But, a fitness stepper gives you a great workout and low impact movement which eliminates most injuries runners deal with.

The list of muscles that are affected by a fitness stepper workout is impressive, to put it mildly. They include the two hip flexors, that are attached to the femur bone; and the three gluteal muscles, more commonly referred to as, the buttocks.

Other targeted muscles are; the 2 muscles of the calves, quadriceps, which are 4 muscles in the front part of the thigh, and the 3 muscles of the hamstrings, on the underside of the thigh.

People like to know how many calories are burned by various activities. Assuming you have set your stepper at a vigorous level, you could achieve fitness stepper benefits, burning as many as 107 calories for every 25 pounds of body weight, in a 60 minute session. A 100 pound gal could burn 428 calories in the same time that a 200 guy could burn 856 calories.
